Who we are

Surkh Amour founded by Tanisi Bhatt and Dhruv Jain, was cultivated from a spark of inspiration in London.

Tanisi Bhatt, a graduate from London College of Fashion specialising in business of fashion, digital marketing and public relations accompanied by Dhruv Jain, a graduate from Bayes Business School specialising in business management, digital innovation and entrepreneurship dreamt of creating a brand that would embody the fusion of modern silhouettes and bring out our rich Indian culture and heritage.

What began as an idea in the heart of a bustling city has since blossomed into a vibrant fashion label, now nestled in the culturally rich city of Jaipur. Here, Surkh Amour comes to life, weaving together the threads of modern technique and traditional craftsmanship. Displaying a collection that resonates with those who value sustainability, style and the preservation of our planet.

The name “Surkh Amour”, gives the roots of our Indian heritage and culture a connection towards the west. The fusion of cultures can also be felt in the name itself where “Surkh” means Red in Punjabi and “Amour” means Love in Italian. The brand’s name embodies the brands values of vibrant colours that are picked up from our natural surroundings and love for the environment.

As part of our commitment to a safer and more sustainable environment, we embrace slow production and ethical manufacturing practices. At Surkh Amour, we proudly partner with sustainably and conscious manufacturers in India. One of our key partners is Sadhna, an all-women-led manufacturing unit based in Udaipur. This initiative empowers women from local villages, providing them with the opportunity to work, gain financial independence, and support their communities. By choosing Surkh Amour, you're not just wearing beautifully crafted garments; you're also contributing to a positive impact on the lives of these remarkable women and the environment.

The fabrics used in our clothing are meticulously handpicked, with a focus on two key pillars: sustainability and quality. We take pride in using luxurious, handwoven blends of linen and mulmul—a soft, finely woven cotton that has its origins in India. Mulmul is renowned for its breathability and comfort, helping to regulate body temperature while minimizing wrinkles and shrinkage. This thoughtful selection ensures that our garments not only feel exquisite but also align with our commitment to sustainable and responsible fashion.

At Surkh Amour, inclusivity is at the heart of everything we create. Our unisex, relaxed-fit clothing is designed for those who want to express their true selves, free from the constraints of conventional fashion norms.
